Restless
Produced and Directed by Gareth Roberts

My Role: 1st Assistant Director

Restless is an experimental look at what Restless Leg Syndrome feels like in the mind through the movement of a selection of creatures.

In order to test the lighting and desired camera angles from the director we tried a range of lights along with a beared dragon called Doubrey! (Shown below)

For the shoot in the studio we had a large selection of creatures ranging from mealworms to tortoises hired out by a local reptile centre in Stoke, along with one of the owners assisting with the animals. Alongside a doll house bed to signify it's often occurance of restless leg syndrome in the bedroom.

It was an interesting shoot with turning off the lights and then not being able to see the cockroaches, me being unwell at the time and losing time on shoot due to some travel issues but everyone was still kept on a good high and had music on to lift the moods.
