About Caitlin Donaldson

Born and raised in Billericay, a busy town in Essex just outside of London, where I have now moved back to after 3 years up at Stoke whilst I studied and completed my degree in BA Media (Film) Production.



Constantly in awe by the sheer quality and detail in visual effects, colour grading and editing within films today like Inception, Transformers, Skyfall, Only God Forgives and even the small unnoticeable effects like those in Atonement or ill Manors is what drives me to aspire to be apart of post-production. I will very happily, and do, watch 'Making Of' videos in my spare time due to my never-ending curiosity in how films were created, in every way from the way they shot it, lighting style and what exactly was CG and what were the special effects on set, how it was colour graded, what software was used and how they acheived the overall awe factor with the film.

 

My aim is to pursue a career in online editing and colour grading, working my way up the ladder from runner just for that day that I can say to people: "Yes I did work on that famous movie that won an/X amoutn of Oscar(s)!"
