A short promotional film for Eurotech Racing, part of the British Touring Car Championship. Focusing on how the team & driver Andrew Jordan prepare for a new season.

Behind The Pit Wall
Produced and Directed by Alex Queen

My Role:  Digital Imaging Technician and Stills Photographer

It was THE shoot I think I was the most excited for. The shoot had my love of cars, GoPro and 5D Mark II cameras, as well a working with a group of friends who I had not worked with before. I think the main thing that made the shoot great alone was the amount of adrenaline I was running on, the excitement through my blood and the smile on my face! The cold didn't bother me or the fact I was beginning to get ill.

The 1st shoot day consisted of a 6:15am meet and began shooting around 9am around the track of Rockingham Motor Speedway. From watching Renault Clio Sports, Andrew Jordan's Honda Civic, Porsche GT3s and Mazdas to name a few. We had crew members dotted everywhere scouting out each corner of the track to get the desired footage, photos and sound for the director with a selection of 4 DSLR cameras, (two 550D's, one 600D and a 5D Mark II) and 2 GoPro cameras strapped inside and on the outside of Jordan's car door.

Below are just a small selection of the production stills taken on day 1 of the shoot at Rockingham.

Day 2 and 3 of the shoots were at Eurotech's garage in Tamworth and at Donington Race Track for the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship). It is where a small amount of the crew went to get timelapse videos of the team working in the garage on GoPros and any close-ups of the team at work. The day at Donnington was very similar to Rockingham in the sense it was capturing more race footage and angles following the team, leading to Jordan's sucess in the BTCC 2013.

Below are some teaser shots from the finalised product.                                    Behind The Pit Wall (Video Link)
